Hello! My name is Zoe-Rose the artist of the project and I wanted to drop in an update about the workshop series! I have a steady pace of doing a monthly workshop. In addition to the monthly linocut workshops at the Muncie Liberation Studio, I have decided to expand to doing also doing a series of Printing workshops (titled printing palooza) that takes place at the Community Hope Church in collaboration with Lavender Closet.

Since the start of my workshops in August I have adjusted and learned many things that come with advertising and running and art related program that has been extremely valuable to me.

My goal of the workshop line is to provide low cost and free printmaking art activities for the local Muncie Community. I yearn to make art, especially printmaking, a more accessible and low cost barrier to create!

I have run 2 10$ workshops in which i had 7-8 attendees out of 10 seats at each. I have run 1 $15 workshop that sold 3 out of 10 seats (I count this as a success due to my neglect to flyer and advertise properly as well as Ball State having its Fall Break that weekend). I also ran my first printing palooza on a Sunday and had a handful of people attend and participate. I have also provided 2 free community activities, one to test run the workshops and a second one at an event called Sapphic Saturday at the Muncie Liberation Studio.

I hope to continue to post snippets and share more from my continued workshops as the months go on! I am very happy with where the project is at so far. I have also in this updated added a link to my instagram art page where I share flyers, pictures from workshops, the places or events I will be attending, and occasionally my art.

VORE UPDATE 10/13/26

Over the summer, SKY PUP saw a slow revival thanks to the VORE ARTS FUND of Muncie, Indiana. Portions of the funds went to assisting in cover studio space costs, research materials from local sources and tools to complete the first issue. In these three months, I have been able to take steps back into this project with a vastly updated set of skills and hands-on experience to render it in a digital format. Struggles sprung up by the change of creative styles. Leading to new decisions needing to be made on a project started almost seven years ago. In this warm-up period I was able to get two major, yet unrelated, projects wrapped up or stabilized. Clearing the rest of the year for SKY PUP.

The largest gap I've been working to fill these few months is the technical understanding of creating a digital illustration. Using a Wacom tablet and pen is a alien to me, as a pencil & paper user. So the time spent on these two other digital projects - a film poster and set of storyboards - is taking the brunt of 'teeth cutting work' in becoming more familiar with the tools/software. I feel the time has been well spent. The Vore Funds have helped cover valuable time I would have otherwise not been able to commit to closing that gap.

What I've learned about the steps going further - I need to revisit original sketches and recreate some of that same vibe in Photoshop. Rather than trying to strongarm the completed pencil pages without some kind of updated priming exercise. Simple flash sheets to generate elements freehand and then dropping those into frame as needed. It'll be interesting to see the 'clear image' for these relatively old sketches at long last. I've learned that SKY PUP is one of the more 'precious' projects I've taken on and am not treating it as a commerical art project like I've filled my portfolio with. It's a genuine expression and capturing of a vision/method I've been working towards for years. Hopefully opening the 'digital canvas' will remove some of the perceived limitations that have kept this particular project on the back burner for so long.

I will be mailing out six boxes by Friday 10/2/2026 for a total of $270 to be paid when the customer receives the package. I have two more to be made once the unfinished boxes arrive for a total of $100.

The two classes I taught in February were full, with 24 participants in total. I have plans to use the work to create a community art project that will be displayed in the Toolsong Gallery at Madjax.

I repaid the $1000 loan by certified cashiers check that I dropped off at Art Mart with Karen Fisher.

I will submit images of the final exhibition after the installation. I plan to teach more gelli print classes at Madjax this summer and fall.

I have made great advances in my business this season already. I have been able to afford to invest in equipment to further increase my products I'm able to create. I have had overwhelmingly positive reactions to my art now that the vending season starting back up. I am booked for events every weekend until September. Without the connections, support and encouragement from the community I would not be to this point in my journey. I am excited to work more in the community and be able to give back some day.

Project Update

My project is ongoing, with two boxes completed so far. I will continue creating additional boxes and sharing the concept with the community.

On April 26, I will be attending Mango’s Market in Daleville, a 501(c)(3) organization that rescues animals. The event is geared toward animal-focused vendors and causes. Participating will allow me to engage with community members while continuing to introduce and market the idea.

I appreciate the continued support and look forward to sharing additional progress as my work evolves.

The first Gelli print classes of the series will be held on January 14 and January 21 at Madjax! The first class is at capacity, and the second is nearly full.

Righteous Gemstones Part 2 was successfully released on August 15th, 2025.

The guest feature from the national recording artist was procured on May 25th, 2025.

There was a major health issue that occurred during the recording of this project that partially affected its creation.
