Vore Arts Fund News

On July 1st, at the conclusion of the public voting period, a $1,000 grant was awarded to Molly Schaller to support Pressing Matters, a new community art initiative centered around teaching a series of local workshops to children and adults about the art of Gelli printing, an accessible monoprinting technique that requires no press and produces vibrant, unique prints. This project will culminate in a collaborative exhibition at prominent locations at Muncie’s First Thursday gallery crawl to showcase the results of the workshops.

The Vore Arts Fund is striving to not only provide funding to support our art community, but also other resources and community partnerships that can help ensure the success of the projects that we support. We've recently added these exciting partnerships which provide exclusive discounts to our funding recipients:

- Tribune Showprint is offering a 20% discount on its printing and graphic design services

- Madjax is offering six months of free membership, with access to its three maker spaces with a wide variety of equipment to use

We're thrilled to announce that the Ball Brothers Foundation has generously given the Vore Arts Fund a rapid grant to cover our operating expenses and funding cycles for the rest of 2025! Thanks to their support, we'll be able to accept applications without interruption for the rest of the year and award loans to artists on every odd-numbered month!

However, our requests for funding are already exceeding what we can budget, so every dollar donated to the Vore Arts Fund can help us increase what we give out every other month and fulfill these requests. Consider tossing a donation our way, or even volunteering to join our fundraising team!
